I am a fully qualified teacher since 2013, with experience teaching all Secondary Key Stages. I specifically have experience teaching up to and including A Level Physics ad Biology, and up to GCSE Maths and Chemistry. If I had to choose I'd choose Biology and Physics - I'm a rare dual specialist! In my regular teaching role, I also have responsibility for the PSHE provision for the entire school.
I am a life long learner, currently taking a break from furthering my studies - you could say that I'm on a "Gap Year".
My undergraduate studies were in Medicine, which due to health reasons, I had to withdraw from full medicine but was awarded BSc Science of Medicine at University of Bristol.
My PGCE qualification was awarded in Secondary Science from UWTSD in 2013.
I begun a distance learning Postgraduate Certificate in Physics & Engineering with UCL in 2013, specialising in Imaging with Ionising Radiation, Imaging with non-Ionising Radiation, Ionising Radiation Physics: Interactions & Dosimetry, and Optics in Medicine, and I graduated in 2019.
In 2019, I started another distance learning qualification, this time Master of Science, Astrophysics at Liverpool John Moores University. My studies here covered Astronomical Techniques, Astrophysical Concepts, Cosmology, and Numerical Methods in Astropysics. My project was entitled "Chaos in Multiplanet Systems", which was an application of numerical methods in solving the three body problem.
I am currently taking a break from studies before considering future steps. Maybe even an art degree!
